This Picture was taken by Esther Bubley in Memphis Tennessee in September of 1943. It is inside a bus terminal. It has no real lighting. It is in the city during the day. There are many people. They are white men in business suits. What caught my eye is the sign because I thought that came back when King Jr was a child. It is a business. It is in a good postion. There are people surrounding the place. It has a positive, lighted tone. I say this because you see people and is dosen't look like a film roll. The questions I have are why is it so crowded and where are the other buses.
This is an African American rest stop. It was taken by Esther Bubley on September of 1943. It is outdoors, the is no lighting, and in a rural area. It was taken in the day time. There are no people. What caught my eye is the sign. It says dining room, I thought it was a bathroom. There is nothing but trees surrounding it. The tone is like the arthur had to take a pit stop but it has a positive and light tone. I say this because that is what it looks like to me. I would like to know where are the people and why is it in the middle of nowhere. By Eric.
This is an African Americans theatre. It was taken by Marion Post Wolcott in LeLand, Mississippi in November of 1939. It Outside, has no lighting, it is in a urabn area in the daytime. There is no people. What caught my eye is the bricks, all the buildings I saw were made of wood. It is a business in a new like condition with no real spacing. What surrounds it it more brick places. The tone is positive, and light. I say this becasue usually movies are happy things. The two questions I have is what kind of theatre is it and is it out of business.
